Posted by: Rhys Lawry Posted on: October 29, 2024

Image Credit: Images used throughout our website are taken from the Iceworks series by Gav Barbey. The work is a visual representation of the philosophy behind the research team – to move beyond that which keeps us from working together, to explore the connections between our work, and to allow these connections to create new ideas and journeys. The Iceworks series has been made by mixing paint pigments into water and freezing.  The artwork is made as the ice melts and the artist adds to, manipulates, guides and directs the pigment.  Images used with permission of the artist.

The land we live and work on always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land. We pay our respects to the traditional custodians of Country throughout Australia and acknowledge the ongoing leadership role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in preventing violence against women. We also acknowledge traditional custodians of the lands where this research team works, and the place of Indigenous Knowledge around the world.
